Science behind DermaFair

How Does DermaFair Work?

Your skin colour comes from a natural pigment called melanin. Melanin pigment is synthesized in specialized cytoplasmic cells called melanocytes. Within the melanocytes, the enzymatic conversion of the amino acid tyrosine to melanin is catalyzed by the enzyme tyrosinase. The melanocytes in darker portions of the skin are more active than those found in other areas of the body. Overactive melanocytes can also cause visible hyperpigmentation on the skin such as age spots, melasma, and other types of discolorations.

To reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, Dermafair works by combining the well documented properties of the most effective skin lightening ingredients. Many of the active ingredients in the formula are derived from natural extracts such as Mulberry, Licorice and Bearberry plants. Derma Clinical Care puts your safety above anything else. Our products contain absolutely no hydroquinone, mercury, steroids or other undesirable bleaching substances.

DermaFair Liposomes deliver active ingredients through Stratum corneum using active transport using Advanced skin penetration technique.

L-Tyrosine is converted into Melanin by Tyrosinase enzyme in the skin. Ingredients used in Dermafair inhibit the Enzyme Tyrosinase thus reduce the production of melanin in the Malonocyte. Melanin is the colour in the skin. Melanin is the colour in the skin.

Depending on the melanin biochemical reactions, eu-melanin or pheo-melanin may be formed. Eumelanin, a black or brown pigment, is the most abundant type of melanin in humans (Black and Asian). Pheomelanin is a red-yellow pigment found both in lighter-skinned humans (Caucasian).

DermaFair is also effective against Asian and Black skin type (4 to 6).

Type I

Highly sun-sensitive, always burns, never tans.
Example: Very pale Caucasian, freckles, or Albino

Type II
Very sun-sensitive, burns easily, tans minimally.
Example: Fair-skinned Caucasian

Type III
Sun-sensitive skin, sometimes burns, slowly tans to light brown.
Example: Darker Caucasian, European mix

Type IV
Minimally sun-sensitive, rarely burns, always tans to moderate brown.
Example: Mediterranean, European, Asian, Hispanic, Native American

Type V
Sun-insensitive skin, rarely burns, tans well.
Example: Hispanic, Afro-American, Middle Eastern

Type VI
Sun-insensitive, never burns, deeply pigmented.
Example: Afro-American, African, Middle Eastern

Melanin synthesis begins with the catalysation of Tyrosine into L-DOPA and L-Dopaquinone by Tyrosinase hydrolase enzyme. L-Dopaquinone converted into either Dopachrome or CysteinylDopa depends upon the race. CysteinylDopa converted into Pheo-Melanin in Caucasians skin colour and Dopachrome converted into Eu-Melanin (Black and Asian Skin Colour).

What Makes DermaFair Unique?

Dermafair is the world’s first Liposomal based skin lightening cream in the market. Ordinary skin lightening creams does not work because the actives and anti-oxidants inside the creams are not stable and degradate by the time you apply on skin thus the ordinary creams does not works. Dermafair skin lightening cream contains liposomes, where actives and anti-oxidants are protected inside the liposomes and delivers Active ingredients and anti-oxidants in perfect good condition when applied on to the skin. Liposomes easily pass the skin into its deeper layer where you require anti-oxidants and skin lightening agents to have a desired effect.

There are many skin lightening products in the market. The active ingredients used in DermaFair are same active ingredients as in  many skin lightening products. So what makes the DermaFair formula so unique? DermaFair is the world’s first Liposomal Skin Lightening cream. Simply putting compound in the ordinary cream doesn't guarantee its effectiveness. In order to harness the true power of the active ingredients, Liposomal cream was developed by Derma Clinical UK Ltd to ensure the effective delivery of the active compounds in a perfect good condition when consumer used cream and where they required by the Melanocytes to reduce the over production of Melamin. Furthermore, the Derma Clinical team takes great effort to minimize any oxidation of actives and produce a cream which is effective Clinically.

When creating a product, the base ingredients are just as important as the active ones. It is important to choose proper carriers and liposomes to ensure that the active ingredients are absorbed deeply into the skin. It is also wise to include effective preservatives and moisturizers to ensure minimal skin irritation. DermaFair contains the lowest recommended level of active ingredients by the European regulation on Cosmetic directives Regulation (EC) N° 1223/2009 on cosmetic products. The use of special base ingredients and high quality actives is what brings out the true effectiveness of the formula and sets us apart from other manufacturers.
